User Share - Data Management Service

I am developing a photos sharing application

I want to use Data Management Service to manage synchronization between the connected users to the same photos sharing.

If I have several shares in uses on the Flex server and if a user modify one of them, Data Management Services sends an updating message to all users of all shares.

My question: Is it possible to control the messages and /or the users connected with Data Management Service
