Flex App Using BlazeDS with Slow Client Consumer

We are currently looking into possibly using Flex to create an application with BlazeDS server to push the data to the client. One of the concerns we have is slow message consumption by the client. How does BlazeDS handle slow client consumption. Any info on this would be appreciated.
